At Mercury Vintage Yokohama, authenticity is fundamental to our business. All products offered on mercuryvintage.com are represented as authentic vintage or pre-owned products. We do not sell, distribute, or promote counterfeit, replica, imitation, cloned, knock-off, or fake products.
1. Our Authentication Process
Every product is reviewed by professional appraisers before being offered for sale. Depending on the item, our inspection may include brand markings, serial or date codes, materials, stitching, construction, hardware, engravings, typography, production details, and signs of repair or restoration.
Products that do not satisfy our authenticity standards will not be offered for sale. Our internal appraisal is independent and is not a certification issued by the original brand owner.
2. Product Sourcing
Our products are mainly sourced through established channels in the Japanese secondary market, including professional suppliers, licensed secondhand-goods businesses, trade networks, and auctions.
The Company holds Japanese Secondhand Dealer Licence No. 304412318052.
3. Legit App Authentication
Customers may select Legit App authentication during checkout where available:
Non-Hermès orders of HKD 3,000 or above: Complimentary Legit App authentication.
Non-Hermès orders below HKD 3,000: Optional authentication for JPY 2000.
Hermès products: Optional authentication for JPY 3000.
Authentication must be selected or confirmed before the order is packed and shipped. Availability depends on the product, photographs, information requirements, and the authentication provider’s acceptance criteria.
If the provider cannot complete the authentication, we will contact the customer and refund any authentication fee paid for that service. The option and fee displayed at checkout or confirmed by the Company will apply.
Legit App is an independent third-party service. Its result supplements our internal appraisal and is not a certificate or endorsement from the original brand owner.
4. Repairs and Restoration
Some vintage or pre-owned products may previously have undergone repair, reinforcement, recolouring, component replacement, cleaning, or restoration.
Where known and reasonably identifiable, relevant information will be disclosed in the product description. Previous repair or restoration does not automatically mean that a product is inauthentic, although alterations may affect third-party authentication eligibility.
The Company does not alter brand markings or misrepresent a product’s origin or authenticity.
5. Authenticity Concerns
Customers with a genuine authenticity concern should contact mercury.vintage.hk@gmail.com without undue delay and provide:
Full name and order number;
Product name or product number;
Clear photographs;
Details of the concern; and
Any independent authentication report or supporting evidence.
The product must not be sold, transferred, repaired, cleaned, altered, or disposed of while the review is in progress. We may request further evidence, third-party assessment, or return of the product for inspection.
6. Confirmed Inauthentic Products
If a product sold by the Company is confirmed to be inauthentic following reasonable review, we will provide an appropriate remedy, including a refund where applicable.
The product must be verified as the same item supplied by the Company, must not have been substituted or materially altered, and must be returned with all relevant accessories and documentation according to our written instructions.

7. Brand Disclaimer
Brand names, trademarks, and logos on the Website are used only for product identification and resale-description purposes.
